A Robin On The Lawn

Photograph of An American Robin

While photographing flowers in the early morning light, I spotted this American Robin.  It was hunting in the lawn, as robins typically do.  I captured this image while it briefly paused to survey its surroundings.

Laughing Gull

Laughing Gull

We were waiting for the ferry to take us across the river and the kids wanted to go to the upper deck.  When we finished climbing the stairs I noticed several Laughing Gulls hanging out on a rooftop just a little above eye level.

This alligator quietly swam by to investigate while we were watching several other nearby alligators.

Missing Window

black and white photograph of a narrow, four story brick building missing a window

With it’s partially missing 2nd story window and apparently vacant upper floors, this building, near the Central Business District of New Orleans almost looks abandoned.
